The Beer Box, the Sarasota area's first bar that focused on beer brewed in Florida, has returned.

The bar (part of the Evie's restaurant and entertainment group) that was open for a year at Beneva and Clark roads is back as a 15-tap mobile craft beer catering trailer. It's celebrating its grand opening this Memorial Day weekend. Manager Mick Cohn is back as the mastermind.

On Friday it will be at Evie's Tavern on the Range (4725 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota; 941-377-9300) from 6 to 11 p.m. near the mini golf course.

It moves a little bit on Saturday, staying at Evie's Tavern on the Range, but opening from noon to about 7 p.m. near the back tiki bar.

On Sunday and Monday the Beer Box moves south, to Evie's at Spanish Point (135 Bayview Drive, Osprey; 941-218-6114) from noon to 7 p.m. Look for it on the side yard by the water.

Cohn says the Beer Box (with and without the trailer) will be showing up at all Evie's locations and is also available for hire for private events. Learn more at the Beer Box's Facebook page.
