Organizers posted this today on Hundsader Farms' Facebook page:

"Due to already severe flooding, and pouring rain today, we have to cancel the Pumpkin Festival for the whole weekend of the 10th-11th. We are extremely sad to deliver this news. Thank you those of you for the well wishes and the understanding that we can't control the weather. We'll see everyone the 17th-18th and 24th-25th. Please help spread the word."

Hunsader Farms Pumpkin Festival, one of Manatee County's biggest annual events, was scheduled to open today but has been postponed. Here's the statement issued last night via the Hunsader Farms' Facebook page:

"We are very saddened to announce that because of the amount of rain today, we have decided not to open for the Pumpkin Festival tomorrow. We will try to reopen on Sunday but we need a day to bring in pumps and drain everything that is under water. We hope to see you all Sunday, and so sorry for the inconvenience."

At about 9 a.m. this morning Hunsader Farms posted this:

"We are working on our flood problem right now! We will update at 1:00 to say if we will be able to open tomorrow for the Pumpkin Festival!!"

Hunsader Farms is located 10 miles east of I-75 and (SR 70) East, then turn left onto C.R. 675, and it is 3 miles down on the left. We will do our best to update this post with information regarding the festival starting Sunday. You can also follow Hunsader Farms on Facebook.
