From Bach to Jazz at Venice Theatre's Cabaret Festival

How do you like your music? You can hear it in several different styles in this weekend’s performances at the Venice Theatre’s Summer Cabaret Festival.

At 8 p.m. July 30, Harry and Lesley Fager present the final performance of their show “2 Saxy,” featuring songs from the Great American Songbook as well as contemporary hits performed with voice, live tenor sax and jazz guitar.

Popular Venice perform Eric Watters presents his final performance of “1958,” a show featuring songs that were hits in that year at 8 p.m. July 31.

The rest of the weekend belongs to Bobby Brader, who returns to Venice for two performances of his show “Bach and Forth.” Brader, who frequently served as musical director at area theaters before pursuing studies in film scoring at the Seattle Film Institute, features a range of music from the era of Bach to today. He performs at 8 p.m. Aug. 1 and 2 p.m. Aug. 2.
