'Paris,' 'Fun Home,' 'Skylight' and 'Wolf Hall' lead 2015 Tony nominations

The new musicals "An American in Paris," "Fun Home" and "Something Rotten" lead the nominees for the 2015 Tony Award nominations, while the British-born plays "Skylight," "Wolf Hall Parts 1 & 2" and "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time" led in the non-musical categories.

The much-talked about musical "Finding Neverland," adapted from the Johnny Depp film and starring Matthew Morrison and Kelsey Grammer, was shut out in all categories. Critics were tepid to negative to the show, but it has become a hit with ticket buyers.

"The Visit," one of the final works created by John Kander and Fred Ebb before Ebb's death, rounded out the Best Musical category. it also earned a nomination for two-time Tony winner Chita Rivera.

"Wolf Hall" and "Curious Incident" are nominated for best play along with "Hand to God" and the Pulitzer Prize-winning "Disgraced."

"Skylight is nominated for best revival of a play along with "The Elephant Man" (which earned a best actor nomination for Bradley Cooper),  "This is Our Youth" and "You Can't Take it With You."

Nominees for best musical revival are Rodgers and Hammerstein's "The King and I" and two musicals by Betty Comden and Adolph Green -- "On the Twentieth Century" and "On the Town."

The 69th Annual Tony Awards will be announced on Sunday June 7, with Tony nominee (and past winner) Kristin Chenoweth and Tony winner Alan Cumming as hosts.
