Pumpkin Old Fashioned.
Thank gourdness pumpkin season is in full swing. Any excuse to incorporate the Halloween-y veggie it into seasonal cocktails is welcome, and the Waterfront Restaurant’s Pumpkin Old Fashioned sets the orange standard.
INGREDIENTS
2 ounces pumpkin-infused bourbon (½ cup pumpkin purée and 1 tablespoon each of nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger)
¼ ounce maple syrup
2 filthy cherries
2 dashes angostura bitters
½ ounce water
MIXOLOGY
Muddle cherries with bitters and syrup. Add bourbon and water. Stir and pour all of the ingredients, including the ice, into a short glass. Garnish with a cherry and a slice of ginger.
