Frank McComb sold out The Blue Rooster in June. He returns Saturday with local standout Danielle Furst. This is a show fans of soul and jazz will not want to miss. McComb’s career includes working with everyone from Philly soul legends Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff to serving as lead vocalist and keyboardist in Branford Marsalis’ pioneering jazz-rap fusion project Buckshot LeFonque to backing DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince.

McComb’s latest album, “Remembering Donny Hathaway (Live At the Bitter End),” does an excellent job of showcasing the 43-year-old’s talents as a singer, keyboardist and songwriter. When McComb performs Saturday expect world-class keyboard playing and superb singing on original compositions and songs by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock and especially Hathaway.
