Dan Toler, whose by turns aggressive and gorgeous guitar work can be heard on acclaimed albums by the Allman Brothers Band, Gregg Allman Band and Dickey Betts & Great Southern, died about 18 months ago in his Manatee County home at age 64 of Lou Gehrig’s disease. On Friday, members from his final project, the locally-based Toler-Tucci Band, as well as numerous guest musicians including guitarist Jeffrey Baxter, best known for playing with Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers, will perform at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg.

On Saturday, the same lengthy lineup of talented musicians including Toler's Gregg Allman Band cohort Chaz Trippy (percussion) will perform at Sahib Shriners Hall in Sarasota. It's a safe bet that plenty of Allman Brothers Band classics will be heard at both shows. The concerts and an auction will benefit Dan Toler's widow, Debbie Toler.

7 p.m. Friday; Jannus Live, 200 1st Avenue N., St. Petersburg; $20 in advance and $25 at the show; (727) 565-0550; jannuslive.com.

6 p.m. Saturday; Sahib Shriners Hall, 600 N Beneva Road, Sarasota; $20; 366-4449; sahibshrine.org.
