Use pedal power to support people affected by cancer during this beach bike ride hosted by Sharky’s on the Pier that raises money for The Livestrong Foundation. The 12th Annual Ride the Beaches event hosted by Sharky’s on the Pier is Sunday and open to riders of all ages. It starts early Sunday morning with registration and breakfast for 70-mile riders at 6:30 a.m. with breakfast for 35 and 15 milers at 7:30 a.m.

Participants can choose the ride that will best fit their abilities: 15-mile, 35-mile, or 70-mile. Start times: 70-mile at 7:30 a.m. and 35-mile at 8:30 a.m. and 15-mile at 9 a.m.There will be no mass start for safety purposes. Sharky’s will also serve a full lunch for participants from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with beer available at noon.

All riders are encouraged to pre-register for the ride to secure a place on www.active.com. Riders will be expected to obey all Florida traffic laws and wear an ANSI or Snell approved helmet. Sharky’s on the Pier created this event to boost community involvement in the search for a cure against cancer.
