An expected 200,000 people, many with their chairs lined up along Manatee Avenue days in advance, will again be attending the De Soto Heritage Grande Parade on Saturday to view the illuminated entries and catch some beads, coins and whatever else gets tossed to the crowd throughout the night. Starting at Manatee High School, the parade route travels west on Ninth Avenue, north along 39th Street West to Manatee Avenue and then turns east toward downtown Bradenton to Ninth Street West. The De Soto 5k will immediately precede the illuminated Grand Parade.
