The lights of the midway are being lit, the rides are being erected and the fryers are being warmed up in anticipation of the Sarasota County Fair, which kicks off this weekend. Besides the ferris wheel, bumper cars, The Gravitron and other spinning and swooping rides, expect many of your favorite entertainers to be back, including Rosaire's Racing Pigs, Sea Lions Splash and hypnotist/magician Ron Diamond, as well as Welde's Big Bear Show and many more. Of course, there's also a lot of food, from deep-fried everything to Amish Donuts, as well as a host of animals on display ranging from prize sows to cuddly rabbits.
