Royal Lipizzan Stallions (HT ARCHIVES)
It won't be a hootenanny (that's a different time of the year), but this Sunday's Taste of Myakka - to benefit the Old Miakka Schoolhouse - will have plenty old-timey fun for the whole family. There will be plenty of food, of course, including fried-green tomatoes, swamp cabbage, gator bites, local cane sugar syrup, and a whole lot more. You'll also be able to catch a staged shootout, whip cracking and roping demonstrations and the majestic Royal Lipizzan Stallions.
