SUMMER CIRCUS SPECTACULAR: It's the final few days of the Historic Asolo Theater and The Circus Arts Conservatory Summer Circus Spectacular, an hour-long show featuring the hilarious antics of Kirk Marsh, award-winning 13-year-old juggler Sebastian St. Jules, the daring teeterboard acrobatics of the Alvarez Family, the world-renowned Anastasini Brothers, Dolly Jacobs, and more.

ADOPT-A-PALOOZA: Looking for a pet? Adopt-A-Palooza will be one of the biggest adoption events in manatee County History, with plenty of fuzzy friends to take a look at, specialty vendors and pet vendors, animal experts and Feld Entertainment's Monster Mutt Dalmation monster truck.

Summer Beach Runs / HT ARCHIVE

KIDS SUMMER BEACH RUNS: Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., one-mile race starts at 6:30 p.m. One-time registration lets kids participate in as many beach runs as they want. Siesta Key Beach run is on Tuesday at Siesta Public Beach (948 Beach Road.), Venice Beach Run is on Wednesday at Brohard Beach (1600 Harbor Dr.).

FAMILY MOVIE MATINEE: "Despicable Me 2." Must register in advance (scgov.net/library).
