JDub's Brewing Co., the city of Sarasota's first production craft beer brewery, finally has a release date for the highly-anticipated "Esperanza," which I raved about in my Bar Tab column last week. It's a collaboration brew with Drum Circle Distillery, makers of the ward-winning Siesta Key Rum. Esperanza is a Wee Heavy Scotch Ale aged in Siesta Key Rum Barrels. The beer will be unveiled to the public 7 p.m. September 13 at JDub's Brewing Co.'s taproom at 1215 Mango Avenue.

"We're bottling next week, but this will be an extremely limited release- we anticipate having only 300-350 (ish) bottles available for this inaugural batch," JDub's founder Jeremy Joerger said today in an email. "Price is $20 per bottle."
