Darwin's on 4th hosts beer dinner with Seventh Sun

/

darwin7thsunOne week after Sarasota brewpub Darwin's on 4th (1525 4th St.) hosted a beer dinner with a Florida craft brewer, they're doing it again.

On Wednesday, March 19, at 7 p.m. the restaurant will put on a dinner featuring beers from Seventh Sun. (This week's dinner had brews from Florida Beer Co.)

Four of the Dunedin brewery's beers will be paired with four courses from the Peruvian restaurant, which also brews its own award-winning beers.

I don't have more details on the menu but hope to get more info soon.

Update: Here's the menu:

1st Course: Mixto Ceviche. Leche De Tigre, Aji Limo, Shrimp, Corvina, Octopus, Sweet Potato, Toasted Corn, Choclo Skewer. Paired with FYA Pale Ale

2nd Course: Duck Confit. Butternut Squash Ravioli, Truffle Foie Gras Butter Sauce. Paired with Glass House Brett Amber Ale

3rd Course: BBQ Guava Glazed Salmon. Aji Amarillo Potato Puree, Tangerine Braised Collard Greens. Paired with Mangrove Double IPA

4th Course: “Tumbao” Pot Of Mousse. Bittersweet and White Chocolate Mousses, Dark Chocolate “Pot”, Café Cappuccino, Tartufo Chocolate. Paired with Graffiti Orange

Seating is limited. It's $40 per person. Make reservations by calling (941) 343-2165.

And you never know who will be there. Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripkin Jr. went to the dinner this week:
