Michigan brewery Founders Brewing Co., which planned to expand into Florida in July, announced on its blog today that it's putting that expansion on hold:
"In the best interest of our wholesaler partners, retail accounts and craft beer consumers, we will hold off opening planned new markets at this time, including Florida, which was scheduled for a July launch."
The brewery blames expansion for the delay. They said the work has taken longer than anticipated and has made it harder for them to make enough beer.
They say they hope to be able to come to Florida "as soon as possible." We'll keep our fingers crossed.
