New Bradenton brewery's likely name: Motorworks Brewing

/

Motorworks BrewingThe craft brewery planned for Bradenton will likely be called Motorworks Brewing, according to state records.

The owners of the brewery haven't publicly revealed their choice for a name, but a filing with the Florida Department of State (found by Gerard Walen of Beerinflorida.com -- thanks for the tip!) shows the establishment of a limited liability corporation called Motorworks Brewing at the address where the brewery will open, 1014 9th St. W. The filing is also under the name of the brewery owners, Denise and Frank Tschida. The couple's previous experience in the alcohol industry includes owning Liquors of Tarpon in Tarpon Springs.

In related news, Bradenton has approved giving the brewery a $13,000 grant, according to the Bradenton Herald. The story says the brewery hopes to open its tasting room by early April. I continue to remain skeptical about an opening date that soon, but there is a lot about this brewery that I don't know. Perhaps they have everything lined up and were just waiting on Bradenton's blessing.

The Herald has also posted an artist's rendering of the brewery, which is definitely worth a look.
