Cigar City to put 5 more beers in cans

/

Cigar-City-Brewing-LogoTampa craft brewery Cigar City will be adding five cans to its portfolio, according to a post at Craftcans.com.

Expect to see Tocobaga Red Ale, Invasion Pale Ale, Jose Marti Porter, Humidor IPA and White Oak Jai Alai IPA in cans this year.

Cross-checking this news against Cigar City's 2012 release calendar shows:

Tocobaga is available in six-packs year-round in the Tampa Bay area. It used to be sold in bottles.

• Invasion Pale Ale was draft only and is new to me. It doesn't appear on Cigar City's calendar.

• Jose Marti will be released in April, August and December in four-packs.

• Humidor IPA will be released in March, July and November in four-packs. It used to be sold in 750 ml bottles.

White Oak Jai Alai was released in January (and sold out quickly) and will be released again in May and September in four-packs.

The post also says they will be redesigning their Maduro Brown Ale cans. The beer will remain unchanged.

These cans join their four canned year-round core beers: Jai Alai, Hotter than Helles, Florida Cracker and Maduro.

Make sure you check out the Craftcans.com post, which has pictures of the new cans.
