The 30th annual Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival with the proceeds benefiting the F.I.S.H. Preserve, (Florida Institute for Saltwater Heritage), continues this weekend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. According to the Cortez Village Historical Society the fishing village is still one of the last remaining fishing villages on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Everywhere you turn it still looks an old time postcard. The festival is located at 4415 119th St W, Cortez, FL. Admission $3 (children under 12 free).
