Beer: Marshal Zhukov's Imperial Stout

Brewery: Cigar City, Tampa

Notes: Imperial stouts are some of the biggest, baddest beers out there. And this 11-percenter is no exception. Pours like motor oil with a deep brown head. The smell is of roasted malt with hints of molasses and alcohol. It's rich, but it's not cloying. Flavors mix to make a typical complex taste of coffee, chocolate, caramel and more. The body is wonderfully slick. One of my favorites from Cigar City. It's an annual release that came out in early September, so you may have to hunt to find it. Not cheap at $12 for a 750 ml bottle, but a nice beer for a special occasion.
