Little Giant Brewery moving to Bradenton

/

I've written several times about local nanobrewery Little Giant, run by Michael Wagner, who brewed for a while on Anna Maria Island before moving to the Whitfield area near the airport.

Now he's moving again, to Bradenton. Specifically, 800 17th Ave. W. near McKechnie Field.

The Bradenton City Council has approved Wagner's request to operate a brewery and lounge on the site, according to the Bradenton Times. Their story says Little Giant:

"Was approved unanimously with the stipulations that production must occur within the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., the lounge will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., the premises will be re-landscaped and truck deliveries and pick-ups will be limited to morning hours."

Wagner knows brewing: He's a graduate of the Siebel Institue in Chicago and Doemens in Munich, Germany. He makes good beer and has the medals to prove it. He posts on Facebook that he hopes to open in March.

I'll get in touch with Wagner when I get back from vacation and post more then.
